Australia needs more IT Professionals (2012)

There is a significant shortage of skilled IT professionals on the Australian labor market. According to the recruitment agencies, the reason for this is that not enough young people are studying computer science in the universities. The number of the Australian students who are studying ICT has halved during the last decade
Foreigners with relevant IT education and experience occupy various positions within the IT industry such as: software developers, software engineers, solution architects, business analysts, systems integrators, project managers, computer & network engineers etc.
Latest statistics released from the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship show that presently there are 90,280 skilled workers in Australia. Around 8800 of them were people who are employed in the information, media and telecoms industry. 1,870 visas were given to software developers, 1,110 to ICT business analysts and  1,080 to software engineers.

Record number of visas issued by Canada

Huge number of visas approved this year. “The land of immigrants-Canada” is always in the news for supporting the immigrants and tourist coming from other nations. This time the country is appreciated of issuing a huge number of visas.

Since the beginning of this year Canada has allowed 500,000 people to visit the nation with the help of visas. Around this period of time about 450,000 people had entered the nation through visa last year.

Parm Gill, Springdale MP appreciated the fact that a large number of visas have been cleared in the current year.

Gill added, “These visas provide the opportunity for people around the world to visit relatives who may have immigrated to Canada.”

He also said, “The visitors have a chance to take in all that our wonderful nation has to offer.”
The tourist season in Canada is at its peak. By the time this year comes to an end people are speculating that the visas would be granted to more than a million of people.

This figure would surely not include the Students and temporary workers. It also does not include people coming from those nations who do not need to get a visa clearance to visit Canada. Such people constitute ninety present of the population visiting the nation. This makes it clear that the 500,000 visas issued include only 10% of the floating population of Canada.

Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister, Jason Kenney says, “Canada is the best country in the world, so it is not surprising that so many people want to visit our country.”

He also says, “Our country’s vibrant cities and remote wilderness is a draw for travellers.”

Looking at the growth prospective in this nation people come from all over the world either to take a glance and experience this wonderful place or they come here looking for a well-paid job to secure their future.

The visa rules are quite immigrant and visitor friendly in compared to other counterparts. People face less of hassles as the paper work is convenient for the aspiring immigrant.
Another big factor for this nation being liked by all is the “job availability”. In various provinces of the nation job pockets are quite big which attract people from all over the world.

Hence, it is not a matter of surprise that this nation is preferred by most of the travellers.
